Just so you are able to satiate the burger cravings, and also not sacrifice on the health quotient, there is one thing you can do- make a burger (or two. Or as many as you like) at your home.
• Get the right meat.
If you are planning to make yourself a chicken burgers in Delhi, have a butcher to grind chuck your beef first. If you use meat with a high fat content, chances are that it might drip off and cause fire flare-ups. Buy the meat on the day you plan to cook.
• Roughly chop the onion and the garlic
Anything, and everything edible you feel should be put between the buns, put them in a bowl and prepare a mélange. Next add the egg yolk and with salt and pepper and mix the concoction vigorously with a spoon.
• Create the burgers
Handle the meat with care so as not to squeeze juices out of it. Shape the mixture into 6 equal sized balls and press the balls to make them flat. Next cover the balls with a plastic wrap and shove them in a refrigerator for 30 minutes to make them firm.
• Prepare the toppings
While the burger (the balls, that is) are cooking, chop off the vegetables that you would like to add that extra flavor to your burger. Cabbages, cucumber, tomatoes are the most common of all; you can also try broccoli and avocados for a change.
• Once the balls are ready, place them between the buns along with the mayonnaise and other vegetables and serve hot with tomato or chili sauce.
